Hi, I’m Angie Nida
I'm a photographer, educator, musician, and lifelong storyteller. Through Legato Grace Productions LLC, I combine photography, live production, and education to help organizations tell meaningful stories. Whether I'm documenting a conference, supporting a theatre production, helping a school build an audiovisual program, or photographing wildlife at sunrise, I'm always looking for the moments that connect people.
My background is anything but traditional. I'm an Army Lieutenant Colonel, educator, musician, photographer, and event professional. Those experiences have taught me to stay calm under pressure, anticipate what's coming next, and pay attention to the details that others might miss.
Photography became a natural extension of that mindset. I love documenting the energy of live events, the quiet interactions between people, and the fleeting moments that often become the most meaningful memories. At the same time, I enjoy helping schools and organizations behind the scenes by designing and supporting audiovisual systems, theatre productions, and student media programs that help others share their own stories.
The name Legato Grace comes from two musical ideas that have stayed with me throughout my life. Legato means smooth and connected, while grace notes are the small moments in between that add character and beauty. That's also how I approach my work. Whether I'm behind a camera, supporting a live production, or helping students learn new creative skills, I'm always looking for the moments that connect the bigger story.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me photographing birds and wildlife. Wildlife photography has taught me patience, observation, and respect for authentic moments. Those lessons influence the way I photograph people just as much as they influence the way I photograph nature.
